Weekend Bday Bash, Part 1

Choo Choo, My Baby is 2!!! We had a great time celebrating here in our condo's community room. Here are some of my favorite shots of the decor and preparations!

So many friends helped us celebrate! And the little tots were loving the craft table, balloons, train table and all the choo choo toys and puzzles!

April/May 2008 - Attended several adoption agency seminars
April 14, 2009- Submitted "Information Sheet" to Gladney, our adoption agency
April 19-Phone orientation/conference with Gladney
April 20- Sent I-600A to USCIS and made request for the official Gladney application
April 27-Applied for updated passports
April 30-Sent application and first round of paperwork to Gladney
May 2-Re-sent I-600A due to new office opening in North Carolina
May 5-Re-sent Jeff's passport application-no signature...oops!
May 6-Jeff's doctor's appointment for physical
May 7-Mailed criminal background and child abuse clearances
May 16-Ginger's passport arrives
May 18-Mailed FBI fingerprints to be checked
May 18-Mailed first round of documents to KBS dossiers
May 18-Ginger's doctor's appointment for physical
May 18-Obtained letter of good standing from our bank
May 18-Jeff obtains letter from employer
May 20-Ginger obtains letter from employer
May 25-Mailed 2nd round of paperwork to Gladney
May 26-Home Study visit #1
May 29-Jeff's passport arrives
June 1-Received FBI clearance
June 3- Home Study visit #2
June 3-First dossier reference letter received
June 8-Mailed second round of paperwork to KBS (including letter re: why we want to adopt)
June 8-Emailed photos for dossier
June 11- Second dossier reference letter received
June 16-Third dossier reference letter received
June 25-Gladney Approved!
July 10-Fingerprinted by CIS
August 25- Received CIS approval letter in mail (I-171)
September 3- Officially on the wait list! Dossier is off to Washington, DC, then Ethiopia!
September 17-Received notification that our dossier arrived in Ethiopia!
April 27, 2010-Referral!!! 6 week-old baby boy :-)
June 22- We passed court! He is ours!
July 18- Board plane to Ethiopia!!!
July 20-Meet Judah for the first time!
July 22-Embassy Appointment
July 27-Return to the States as family of 3!
